Hackurity's commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible practices
This Environmental Policy outlines our commitment to managing and minimizing our environmental impact in alignment with our compliance needs and our broader commitment to sustainability. As a cloud-native organization that relies primarily on third-party cloud services and SaaS platforms, we recognize our responsibility to select providers who demonstrate sound environmental stewardship, and to operate in a manner that aligns with best practices for environmental sustainability.
hackurity.io B.V. is committed to reducing its environmental impact and continually improving its environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods.
We preferentially select cloud and SaaS providers with published commitments to sustainability, carbon neutrality, and efficient energy usage. These include (but are not limited to) Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other vendors with clear environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks.
We maintain no on-premises data centers or server infrastructure, thereby reducing energy consumption, electronic waste, and HVAC dependencies.
Our team operates remotely, drastically reducing the carbon footprint associated with commuting, office utilities, and real estate overhead.
We primarily choose hardware devices due to their proven energy efficiency and lower power draw. Our suppliers also maintain robust product sustainability programs and have published lifecycle assessments aligned with global environmental standards.
We optimize workloads to reduce unnecessary compute, storage, and network utilization, aligning usage with actual business needs and minimizing overconsumption.
We periodically review our vendors' environmental reports and our own digital consumption metrics to ensure ongoing alignment with our sustainability goals.
We encourage awareness among employees regarding energy-efficient digital practices and low-impact working habits.
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect changes in operational practices, vendor commitments, or applicable environmental regulations.
